BAE Systems Brass Band qualified for the 2011 National Brass Band Championship and appeared in the 3rd Section at Cheltenham on 25th September 2011. The qualification came about by virtue of the band winning the Regional earlier in the year at Stevenage. Playing the set test piece ‘Darkness Visible, by Richard Grantham, the band finished 12th making it the highest placed band form the London and Southern Counties area.
