The band made its annual journey to the seaside at Broadstairs again this year on Sunday 17th June. The weather wasn’t terribly promising to start with and the heavy clouds threatened rain just before the start of the concert. However, the rain held off and the Sun even shone a few times although the wind became a bit of a problem later on. Despite all of this, the band gave and entertaining and well received performance to a very appreciative and large audience who were able to enjoy the lovely bandstand setup as well as the music.
Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed today’s concert at Deal Bandstand. I always attend the summer concerts in Deal and can say quite honestly that your brass band is one of the best I’ve heard all year and lots of other attendees agree with me. A very hard act to follow so thank you for setting the bar so high! Tricia Harrison
