2008 – SCABA Autumn contest
Playing Dean Jones’ Glorifico Aeternum, the Band were placed second out of nine competing bands in the First Section of the 2008 Autumn Contest at Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall . Ian Lanceley, the Band’s Principal Cornet player was awarded the cup for the Best Instrumentalist in the First Section. 22 July 2007 – Hall Place Blackheath
Hall Place is a Grade 1 listed country house built in 1537 for Sir John Champneys, a wealthy merchant and a former Lord Mayor of London. The band was asked to perform in the gardens on a hot and sunny Sunday afternoon in July.
Summer 2007 – On Tour In Belgium
In 2007 the band went to Ypres in Belgium and played both in the town itself and a short distance away at the Menin Gate.
