The band was delighted to have been asked to appear at the First National Armed Forces Day event at Chatham Dockyard. Performing to a very large audience in the dining area (there were 30,000 people at the event), the band played to its usual high standard whilst presenting a wide range of music to suit all tastes.
Given the windy and wet weather that had preceded it, the concert at Broadstairs took place in ideal conditions. The hottest weekend of the year was the backdrop to the Dickens Festival in Rochester. The band played on the Boley Hill stage situated opposite the magnificent Cathedral and just underneath the Castle. It was an ideal spot to be seen and heard by the thousands of people who flooded into Rochester for the event.
The Band were pleased to be invited to perform at Herne Bay’s Cultural Day in May 2009. The Band played in front of a number of war veterans as well as local residents.

The Band was delighted to be asked perform in a joint Christmas concert with Maidstone Choral Society who were conducted by Martin Hindmarsh. During the well received concert, the Band and the Choir performed their own pieces as well as a number of joint features.

Playing Dean Jones’ Glorifico Aeternum, the Band were placed second out of nine competing bands in the First Section of the 2008 Autumn Contest at Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall .
